Gift card sales and liability

How much you've sold in gift cards this period, and how much you still owe on cards from real (Live) customers.

Where to find it

Reports → Gift Card tab (if gift cards are enabled)

Gift cards are money customers pay you upfront, in exchange for a promise to provide a rental later. This tab shows how much you've sold, and how much of that you still owe — because until a gift card is redeemed, it's a debt to the customer, not revenue you've earned.

Where to find it

Go to Reports, then the Gift Card tab. This tab only appears if gift cards are enabled for your account.

How it works

  • Gift Card Sales — total revenue from gift cards sold in this period
  • Gift Card Liability — the total balance still outstanding on gift cards that haven't been fully redeemed yet

For example: if a customer buys a $100 gift card and uses $40 of it on a booking, $60 of that original sale still counts as liability — money you owe until they either redeem it or the balance is voided.

Good to know

  • Gift Card Liability always counts real, Live gift cards only — cards created or redeemed in Demo mode are never included, no matter which lane you're viewing. See Why gift cards show up as a liability for the full explanation.
