Questions and answers
How do I upload my logo?
Go to Settings → Brand. In the Logo card, drag an image onto the box or press Choose File. A Crop image window opens; drag to select the area and press Upload. Then press Save Brand Settings at the bottom, because the upload alone is not saved until you do.
What size should my logo be?
Renta recommends a 512×512 PNG under 2MB. You can drag and drop, or click to choose a file and crop it.
How do I remove my logo?
Press Remove logo under the logo box, then press Save Brand Settings.
How do I add a favicon (the little icon in the browser tab)?
In the same card, under Favicon, drag in or choose a square image, for example 64×64 PNG, crop it, and press Upload. Press Remove favicon to take it off. Press Save Brand Settings to keep your change.
How do I change my brand colors?
In the Colors card, use the color picker or type a hex code (a color code like #FF6B2C) for Primary Color and Accent Color, check the Preview, then press Save Brand Settings. Primary Color is for your main call-to-action buttons (like "Book Now") and links, and starts as #FF6B2C. Accent Color is for secondary highlights and badges, not your main buttons, and starts as #f59e0b.
Why does it say my color "must be a hex colour like #FF6B2C"?
The color box only accepts a hex code, such as #1A73E8 (a # followed by 3 to 8 digits or the letters A to F). Renta refuses to save anything else and tells you which color is wrong and what you typed.
Which fonts can I choose?
In the Typography card, Heading Font and Body Font each offer Inter (Default), Poppins, Roboto, Open Sans, Montserrat, Lato, Oswald, and Raleway. Each option is shown in its own font, and "Heading Preview" and a body-text sample show how your choice looks. Both start as Inter.
Where do my logo, favicon, and colors show up?
Your logo and colors are used on receipts and customer emails such as payment links and door codes, and your favicon becomes the icon in the browser tab on your storefront. See Your logo, brand colors, and fonts.
Is the Brand page the same as the Theme tab in the website builder?
No, they are separate. Brand holds your logo, favicon, and brand colors and fonts. The website builder's Theme tab sets the colors and fonts of your website pages. See Global theme colors and fonts.
What does the Appearance page change?
Only how your own admin dashboard looks: animated headings and the image behind your admin pages. Customers never see it. It is saved for your whole business, so your team sees the same background. See Customizing how your own admin dashboard looks.
How do I turn off the animated "glass" headings?
Settings → Appearance, untick Use animated glass headings in the Dashboard animations card, then press Save appearance. It is on by default. Turning it off gives flat, solid headings and is slightly lighter on older computers.
How do I change the background image of my admin pages?
In the Admin background card, choose one of three options, then press Save appearance:
- Satellite photo of your location (the starting choice): made automatically from your business address.
- My own images: upload up to 8 of your own.
- No background: a plain flat color, the fastest option.
Why is "Satellite photo of your location" greyed out?
Renta builds it from your business address. When there is none, the option reads "Unavailable — add a business address in General settings first." Add your address under Business Contact in General settings (see Business details and general settings).
How do I use my own background photos?
Choose My own images. A card called Your images appears. Under Add an image, pick a file; repeat for up to 8. Use the up and down arrows to change the order and Remove to delete one. Wide, low-detail photos work best because your content sits on top. Add images one at a time, since multi-file drops are not supported.
How do I make the background change on its own?
With two or more images, a How they swap section appears: "Don't swap — always show the first image", "Pick one at random each time a page loads", or "Rotate on a timer while you work". For the timer, set Swap every (5 to 600 seconds, starting at 30) and Change with a Fade, Slide, or Instant cut. If your computer is set to reduce motion, fades and slides become instant cuts automatically.
How do I make the background lighter or darker?
Use the Lightness slider, which runs from Darker through "Photo as-is" to Lighter. The starting value is 75. Reset to default appears once you move it. A live preview shows how a card will sit on the photo.
Which pages show the background?
Under Which pages show it tick the sections you want: Dashboard, Bookings, Customers, Fleet, Maintenance, Waivers, Inquiries & Inbox, Disputes & Payment Issues, Reports, Insights, Website, Coupons, Settings, and Other pages. Select all and Clear all are there to speed this up. Every section is ticked by default, and unticked pages get a plain flat color.
Why can't I see the background at all?
Check four things: you are not on a phone (it is hidden on phones, there is no room for it), the Admin background choice is not No background, you have added at least one image if you chose My own images ("No images yet — until you add one, your admin pages show no background at all"), and at least one page is ticked ("No pages selected — the background won't appear anywhere").
