Connecting smart locks (Igloohome)

Connecting Igloohome lets Renta control compatible smart locks, so customers can pick up equipment without a staff member handing over a key in person.

Where to find it

Settings → Integrations → Igloohome Connection section.

How it works

• API key — a text field for your Igloohome API key, stored encrypted.
• Test connection button — verifies the key is valid and working before you rely on it.
• Connection status — shows "Connected" once verified, or "Not connected" before you've entered a working key.

Example

If you rent gear from a storage unit with an Igloohome smart lock, connecting it here lets Renta generate a temporary access code tied to a customer's booking instead of you meeting them to unlock it.

Good to know

• Always use Test connection after entering your key — an invalid key won't be caught until you try it.
• This integration requires permission to manage integrations on your account.
