Creating API keys for developers

API keys let a third-party tool or developer connect directly to your Renta account's data, outside of the built-in integrations.

Where to find it

Settings → Integrations → API Keys section.

How it works

• Generate new key button — opens a form to create a new API key.
• API key list — shows every active key with its creation date, last-used date, and a revoke button per key.
• Copy key to clipboard — a one-click copy button per key.

Example

If you're working with a developer to build a custom tool, generate an API key here and give it to them instead of sharing your login credentials.

Good to know

• Treat an API key like a password — anyone with it can act on your account through the API. Revoke a key immediately if it's exposed.
• Creating keys requires permission to manage integrations on your account.
